Israeli aircraft strike Gaza, no injuries
Gaza / Aden News Agency / AFP / 1-7-2010
Israeli aircraft struck three targets in the Gaza Strip on Thursday but nobody was hurt, Palestinian security officials said.
The officials said the raids targeted a disused airport in the south of the territory and a Hamas training base and open ground further north.
The Israeli military said the strikes hit a weapons cache, a tunnel being built under the border fence to allow attacks into Israel and a third site of "terrorist activity".
A military spokeswoman said the air raids were in response to a rocket attack from Gaza on Wednesday in which a rocket fired from Gaza slightly damaged a factory in southern Israel but caused no casualties.
She said that since the beginning of the year Palestinians had fired 90 rockets and mortar rounds into Israel.
