Several thousands of protests massed in Rusod- Yafie, in the north of Aden, and other parts of the south of Yemen to commemorate the "martyr's day" and the anniversary of the declaration of the Federation of South Arabia in 1959, this morning (Thursday morning).
Protests reiterated slogans against the central government in Sana'a, and raising the flags of the former South Yemen and photographs of the Southern Movement's dead. Speeches of the leaders concentrated on what they called it "disassembling the engagement and the independence", while the chief sheik of Yafie (Abulrab Al-Naqeeb) stated that "the patience of the southerners will run out" indicating that the peaceful struggle will not stay forever", as he demanded "to stand with the people of Al-Houta", that witnessed some clashes between security forces and protests last week.
On the other hand, demonstrations and processions were organized in Lawdar, Al-Mahfed, Al-Mukalla, Al-Dees Al-Sharkia and Radfan, for the same purpose, while the demonstration of Radfan ensured that "the persistence of ignoring the southern case will provide the Yemeni regime with an opportunity to commit more crimes and to attract and train more terrorists" as they demanded "the world community to support them to regain their right of the independence" as they say.
